Ponniyin Selvan 2 Release Date, Plot, Cast, Expectations, and Official Release Date – Everything You Need to Know

Mani Ratnam has dropped an official Hindi trailer for Ponniyin Selvan 2. The first part of the film has got a huge success at the box office. Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachan’s film, ‘Ponniyan Selvan 2’ has been launched after a long wait. Mani Ratnam has promised to provide a rememberable historical drama film for the audience. Now, Ratnam just unveiled a big thing about the most ambitious project ever. The first installment of the film becomes a big blockbuster at the box office. The entire film beautifully portrays the Chola dynasty with a talented star cast. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2: Plot

The story of the film followed the writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s that iconic five-volume novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film also marked Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’ ‘s comeback to the big screen after four years. In the short teaser, we have seen Aishwarya warned just against the entire union of Aditha and Arunmozhi that’s seems like more than she can be letting on. There are several fights and wars ensued and blood was shed on the scenes of which that may follow, but there is no leave for Nandini for the royal throne.  

The first part was concluded with a sequence that is like a cliffhanger and left the fans with an intense thrill. Now the Ponniyian Selvan 2 trailer unveils the audio of the movie that happens at an event in Chennai with a top-level star cast. We are once again going to witness the Mani Ratnam magic on the silver screen. 

The Hindi trailer of Aishwarya Rai’s PS2 starts with a ship that is in danger in the sea, a stormy night, and a terrible sea wave has broken the balance of the sea. In between this news come from  Kodiyakkarai that the sea has swallowed Arunmozhi. Now, the next prince will be  Madhuranthakan Dev. After a clash happen regarding land the land South of River Kollidam should go to Madhuranthakan, and the rest will go to the Prince.

The real enemy of them is  Karikalan. The brother of Karikalan becomes dead and after hearing this he will charge like a mad elephant. The second part contains several fighting sequences.  As the trailer continues there is a beautiful lady comes to her father and said that Arunmozhi has met with a mute woman in Lanka.

The twist comes from this point when a question arises about the mute woman. The woman was no one but Nandini aka Aishwarya Rai. Nandini was eager to destroy the Cholas.  However, Chole dynasty the most difficult time has come due to the division of the Chole kingdom against the emperor. Now, the main fact is Nandini is still alive. The second part contains a twist in every second. The trailer  ends  with a  tremendous battle and drops of blood 

In the short teaser of the film, we witnessed some heart-touching romantic moments between Aditya and Nandini. We have seen that the teaser of Vikram’s Aditya also can be seen pining for love.  Aditya has said in the teaser, “The wine, the song, the blood, and the war, everything just set to forget her, to forget me,”  

Aishwarya may be seen in dual roles, as the princess of Pazuvoor is also on a mission seeking vengeance like Mandakini Devi in such a historical film.  

This film marked the second collaboration of Adishwara with the South Actor Vikram that has been acclaimed critically by Ravan in 2010 the south collaboration of director Mani Ratnam after Iravat in 1977.  

Ponniyin Selvan 2: Cast  

In the second part, we are going to see  Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The second part has been produced by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions. The film has been jointly produced by Madras talkies and Lyca Productions. AR Rahman is the music composer and Mani Ratnam is the director.  

Ponniyin Selvan 2 Release Date  

 Ponniyin Selvan 2 has slated to hit on 28^th April 2023 in Ramil, Hindi, Telugu, Kanada, and Malayalam languages.
