POCO X6 Series Set for India Launch with Dimensity 8300 Ultra Chipset

POCO has officially declared its major release for 2024, revealing plans to introduce the POCO X6 Series in India during the same year. Although the precise launch date remains unconfirmed, an earlier report suggests a probable January 2024 release. A dedicated microsite for the launch is now live on Flipkart. While the number of devices in the X6 Series remains undisclosed, speculation points to the initial release being the X6 Pro in India.

The Upcoming POCO X6 Series

POCO India has disclosed that the upcoming X6 Pro will be equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset, boasting comparable power to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. According to a previous FCC certification, the device will be offered in configurations of 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.

All signs indicate that the forthcoming POCO X6 Pro is essentially a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K70e in China, with identical model numbers. While the Redmi K70e in China supports 90W charging, the Indian variant is expected to feature 67W charging. Other specifications are anticipated to align with those of the Redmi K70e.

The device is set to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, with options for 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage configurations of 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0. The software is expected to be HyperOS, based on Android 14.

The device is anticipated to house a 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability. As for the expected price in India, considering the Redmi K70e’s launch price in China at CNY 1999 (approx ₹23,500), it is speculated that the POCO X6 Pro might be introduced in India at a price below ₹25,000.
