Reality TV mentors are supposed to guide contestants, not go head-to-head themselves. But that’s exactly what’s happening on “Playground Season 5,” where a heated on-camera clash between Elvish Yadav and Tejasswi Prakash has spilled far beyond the show and into a full-blown online debate. What Actually Happened in Playground Season 5?

Elvish Yadav and Tejasswi Prakash are currently mentoring contestants on “Playground Season 5.” During a team discussion, Elvish made a comment about girls handling a task well, which Tejasswi objected to. When she tried to push back, Elvish cut her off with an expletive, prompting a sharp response from her about how she expects to be spoken to.

Detail	Information
Show	Playground Season 5
Mentors Involved	Elvish Yadav, Tejasswi Prakash
Trigger	Elvish’s remark about a “girls” comment during team review
Escalation Point	Elvish used an expletive toward Tejasswi
Elvish’s Response	Defended his reaction as provoked, citing unfair narrative-building
Backstory	Tension began around Episode 18 over a team-swap game

Why The Argument Escalated

The root of the conflict goes back to episode 18, when a secret game gave Tejasswi the power to swap contestants between teams. Elvish, worried about losing strong players, made it clear he didn’t want any of his team members taken. Tejasswi pushed back, questioning why anyone would want their own teammate to go — and the disagreement quickly turned personal, with accusations of bias flying in both directions.

Things reportedly got tenser when Elvish appeared to hint that his large fanbase might react negatively if Tejasswi swapped one of his players, a comment she took as an attempt to intimidate her.

Elvish’s Defense

After facing backlash online, Elvish addressed the situation directly, saying he wasn’t comfortable with attempts to frame the disagreement along gender lines and felt his reaction matched what the moment called for. He also pushed back against claims that he had spoken disrespectfully about his fans, calling those claims misleading.
