Al Khaleej1The wait has been long, but kabaddi fans finally have something to circle on the calendar. After months of silence following PKL 12’s finish, fresh buzz suggests Pro Kabaddi League Season 13 is set to return this December — and defending champions Dabang Delhi will be gunning to defend their crown.
Why the Delay?
The last season wrapped up in October 2025, and there had been no news on the next edition since. Early rumors pointed to a May or June start, but with the Asian Games and Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship both scheduled later in the year, and international teams already deep into preparation camps, the league’s return got pushed back.
Likely PKL 13 Timeline
| Stage | Expected Window |
|---|---|
| Asian Games | September 2026 |
| Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship | October 2026 |
| PKL 13 Player Auction | Oct 18–25, 2026 |
| Pre-season Practice Camps | ~1 month post-auction |
| PKL 13 Kickoff | Likely Dec 25–27, 2026 |
The PKL 13 auction is expected to take place between October 18th and 25th, after which teams will call up players for pre-season camps, typically lasting over a month. That pushes the season opener to late December, with a run of roughly two months expected to follow.
A Packed Kabaddi Calendar Ahead
For the first time in a while, fans have three major tournaments back-to-back — the Asian Games, the Commonwealth Championship, and PKL 13. Franchises will be watching player fitness closely given the non-stop action on the horizon.
