Patrick Mahomes shines again in Chiefs 26-7 playoffs win

Patrick Mahomes guided the Kansas City Chiefs to a massive wild card playoff win against the Miami Dolphins, registering one touchdown and 262 passing yards. The 28-year-old ensured that his side comfortably won the fixture without being put under too much pressure.

The scoreline read 26-7 in favour of the Chiefs at the end of the game, creating a new record for Mahomes. The quarterback now has more wins than Aaron Rodgers, the current New York Jets QB and 2011 Super Bowl winner, as well as Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach.

Patrick Mahomes has now won the playoffs 12 times, earning himself a spot in the upper echelons of the NFL. Overall, he ranks 8th in the all-time list of most playoff wins, a long way behind Tom Brady’s 35 wins.

Although this year hasn’t been the best for him in terms of stats, his confidence and composure on the field cannot be summed up in terms of stats. And many assume that the NFL’s star quarterback is on his way to becoming one of the best of all-time, now that he is entering his prime years as a sportsperson.
