What Does the Pallichattambi Trailer Show?

The trailer for Pallichattambi was released on April 5, 2026 — just five days before its theatrical debut — and it opens with a thunderous voiceover: “He will come to burn that ground to ashes. He will come to cut the nerves and throw it out. The true master of this place!”

The story quickly establishes a village under distress, where locals are desperately seeking a fearless warrior to stand up against police oppression — and that warrior is clearly Tovino Thomas’ character.

The trailer blends raw action sequences, grounded rural aesthetics, a touch of romance, and an atmosphere thick with resistance and defiance. It’s visceral, gritty, and deeply rooted in the soil of Kerala’s past.

Why This Film Has Everyone Talking

Tovino Thomas has built a reputation for picking roles that challenge him — from the superhero Minnal Murali to intense socially-driven dramas — and Pallichattambi looks like his most raw and physically demanding performance yet. A period film grounded in community struggle, policed oppression, and heroic defiance is exactly the kind of story Malayalam cinema tells best.

Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film is described as a period action drama set in Kerala, blending themes of resistance, action, romance, and community — with Kayadu Lohar as the female lead.

The casting of Kayadu Lohar adds further intrigue — she’s been one of the most compelling presences in recent Malayalam cinema, and her chemistry with Tovino in the trailer already promises something special.
