WPL auction 2023: Know Astonishing Details that no one is Telling You

Only a few weeks left for the WPL auction 2023 to start officially. The BCCI got done with the franchise ownership auction recently and in early February, an auction will be held for bidding the players.

The WPL auction 2023 was held on January 25 and a total of 17 bidders participated. Out of 17, seven bidders already own a team in the Indian premiere League. They are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Previously, 33 entities wanted to take part in this auction.

Besides the ten franchises, Adani Group, Capri. Global, Haldiram’s Group, Torrent Pharma, Apollo Pipes, Amrit Leela Enterprises, Shriram Group, and Slingshot 369 Ventures Private Limited took part in this auction. The winners can own a team for only up to ten years.

Earlier, the BCCI shortlisted ten cities but a bidder could own only a single city franchise. The cities were Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Indore, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Dharamsala. Three IPL teams were successful in buying a franchise while only two new entities could buy teams in WPL.

Previously, the Adani Group failed to bag one IPL team. In the WPL auction 2023, they bid for the highest amount, approximately 1289 crores to acquire the Ahmedabad franchise. Reliance-owned Mumbai Indians sealed the deal for 912 crores. The third most expensive team was Bengaluru acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 901 crores.

Delhi capitals have taken the fourth spot in terms of price as they shelled out 810 crores to get the Delhi franchise. The second new entrant Capri Global got the Lucknow franchise for 757 crores.

With this ownership auction, BCCI earned a total of 4669.99 crores as the five franchises were selected.

Joao Gomes rejects Lyon in favour of Wolves transfer in 2023

Wolves are set to complete the signing of Joao Gomes in the coming days, after an attempt to hijack the transfer by Lyon. The French side had tried to reach an agreement with Flamengo themselves, but could not persuade the player. 

He was committed to joining Wolves in the Premier League, and is expected to complete the switch by the end of the transfer window. The Midlands club will receive a fee worth €17 million, and he will be signing a deal of five years until June 2028.

After Chelsea hijacking Arsenal’s pursuit of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Tottenham hijacking Everton’s Arnaut Danjuma deal, Lyon could have been the next in line to complete a hijacked deal. 

However, the player was always committed to playing at the Molineux. And he will get his wish once he completes the medicals and the other formalities for the move. 

Wolves have signed Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia, Mario Lemina and Craig Dawson during the January transfer window to bolster their squad. And Joao Gomes will soon be added to that list. They are currently in a battle to survive in the Premier League, and are only ahead on goal difference. 

With Julen Lopetegui trusted with plenty of new signings recently, the board will be expecting a better performance during the second half of the season.

Samsung launches its new Odyssey Neo G7 43-inch 4K Gaming Monitor with 144 Hz Mini-LED Display

At CES 2023, Samsung unveiled several new gaming monitors, including the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 and the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9. The company, however, had not yet revealed all of its cards, and it has now released one of the best 4K gaming monitors, the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 (G70NC).

The Odyssey Neo G7’s standout feature is its 43-inch Quantum Mini-LED panel, which is the first of its kind from Samsung.

Samsung claims “ultra-fine and precise control” of the Mini LEDs, as well as a richer black as a result of this technology. Furthermore, Samsung uses a matte finish on the panel to help reduce reflections.

In terms of specifications, this is a standard 4K (3840 x 2160) gaming monitor with a 144 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, a 1ms MPRT, 400 nits (typical) brightness, and VESA HDR 600 certification. If you want to connect the monitor to a high-end gaming rig or a current-generation console like the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, Samsung has you covered. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. There are also two USB 3.0 ports and dual 20-watt speakers.

Even more intriguing is the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and an Ethernet port. The addition of networking allows the Odyssey Neo G7’s Samsung Smart Hub and Samsung Gaming Hub to function. The Samsung Smart Hub transforms the monitor into a streaming entertainment hub, providing direct access to services such as Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video.

The Samsung Gaming Hub, on the other hand, enables standalone gaming without the use of a computer or game console. Streaming services such as Xbox xCloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now are available. You can connect a wireless controller using the Bluetooth wireless radio mentioned above, or you can plug your controller into one of the USB 3.0 ports.

India lost to the visitors by 21 runs, and New Zealand took a lead in the series by 1-0. The top order of India was torn by the bowlers of New Zealand in just four overs. Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav put up a partnership of 51 runs but that wasn’t enough for the victory. Surytyakumar Yadav got out before reaching the half-century and Pandya fell in the next over. The visitors posted a total of 177 but the hosts reached 155/9. Devon Conway and Michael Bracewell’s performances helped New Zealand reach 176 runs for just six wickets. Both the players smashed fifties each. The former piled up 59 runs while the latter mustered 52. Washington Sundar scalped destructive player Finn Allen at 35 and Mark Chapman at zero. Interestingly, the on-field umpires weren’t sure if it was a catch but the umpire was confirmed after the fans in the stadium cheered. He took a spectacular one-handed catch to dismiss him. India was chasing 177 and had a poor start listing their first three batters in just four overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya put up a good show having a partnership of 51 runs but eventually, both got dismissed. Even Washington Sundar‘s brave performance couldn’t help India from sinking. Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santer scalped two wickets that put the visitors in a favorable position. Yadav and Pandya kept the hope alive for some time but at last, it got in vain. Earlier, Ishan Kisan, Shubman Gill, and Rahul Tripathy got dismissed one by one failing to showcase their magic.

The next match between the two teams will take place tomorrow at 7:00 PM.

Arsenal and Chelsea bid for Moises Caicedo: £60 million latest offer for Brighton midfielder

Arsenal and Chelsea have made offers for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the last few days. But by the looks of it, both London clubs have had their offers turned down by the Seagulls. 

Chelsea made an offer worth £55 million while Arsenal’s was a bit higher at £60 million fixed, without add-ons. However, the club is determined to keep their player at least until the end of the season.

“He is only focused on Brighton. I understand he has the chance to go to a very big team but I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season,” Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi said. 

“My opinion is that is the best solution for him and us”.

Liverpool have also been linked with the midfielder, but have not submitted any offer yet. They, alongside Arsenal, are in need of a new midfielder and have identified Moises Caicedo as a suitable addition to their line-ups. 

The player has recently taken up new agents and has informed Brighton that he would be open to a new challenge. But their stance is not to sell him during the middle of the season. His performances have made him a very valuable member of the squad, and losing him would be a huge blow to the latter half of their season.

Newcastle United have reached an agreement with Everton to sign Anthony Gordon. The two clubs have negotiated a transfer fee worth £40 million, and the transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano. 

As a result, we can expect the move to be completed by the end of the January transfer window at the latest. The youngster has agreed personal terms for a long-term contract and will be completing his medical in the next few days to finalise the move.

We Have a Ghost: Netflix has Confirmed the Official Release Date of the Horror Drama Film

Netflix has dropped the trailer of the most horror film that has followed the horror sequence ‘We Have a Ghost‘ this February 2023. The residents of the house come to know that the entire house is haunted, and they have terrorized until they have either moved out or died. Netflix’s new family drama show features Anthony Mackie and the popular dancer from Stranger Things David Harbour. The upcoming horror comedy has developed under the working tickle of Ernest of the film like mentioned, developed just upon the short tale published on Vice’s Motherboard from the original post on 19th October 2017   

The latest shot story is available for read right and it was penned by Geoff Manaugh who worked on the Netflix project as an executive producer.

This is a series made by Ryan Murphy that was inspired by a news story and was renewed for a second season. The first look at We Has a Ghost provided a part of Netflix’s exposing their 2022 film slate.  

There are three shots available in the trailer in total, among them one with David Harbour who has slid along the windscreen of a car. The second one is the reaction of the kids from the car who looked at the in dismay. The last and final shot is Anthony Mackie using his smartphone to record seemingly something.  

We Have a Ghost: Release Date  

The show was previously scheduled to drop in 2022 which can be seen in the 2022 Netflix film preview, we have learned in August 2022 with several other films.  

According to the sources, the show will hit in January 2023 and Netflix was eyeing the 24th of February 2023 for We have a Ghost. Netflix has confirmed it via Empire Online.

We Have a Ghost: Cast  

Temple Hill Entertainment is the main production company behind the project. Christopher Landon has taken up both the writing and directing responsibility with the original author of the Vice piece, Geoff Manaugh who has served as the executing producer.  

Landon has recently worked for the horror thrillers like Happy Death Day 2U. We will also get a thriller cast to be provided to us:  

Anthony Mackie’s ninth Netflix Original project. Last time, he was featured in the Woman in the window for Netflix by playing the role of Falcon in 2021 for Disney+ in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.  

David Harbour is coming for his fourth Netflix Original title.  

Tiga Nataro previously featured in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead will appear in it. The role of Nataro has been confirmed to Dr. Leslie Monroe. Apart from them, we will see Erica rash, Jennifer Coolidge, Isabella Russo, Niles Fitch, Steve Coulter, and Faith Ford.

 The shooting was originally helmed to get underway in August and run through to September 2021. The shooting was continued till 19th July confirmed by Christopher Landon, and then it was completed on 10th November 2021. It has taken a total of 65 days.

Pathaan: SRK‘s new movie has broken all the box office records. It seems to become one of the biggest Bollywood movies of all time. It is breaking all the box office records in India and worldwide so far and this is only the third day of the movie from the day of its release. Pathaan has become the first Bollywood movie to gross more than Rs 100 crore globally on the first day of its release. This movie delivered the biggest international debut for a Bollywood movie in history.

Recently, the Pathan’s global gross stands at a staggering Rs 231 crore in just two days; YRF reported a day one gross of Rs 106 crore, and the day two gross is reportedly in the vicinity of Rs 125 crore, as reported by theatre chain Inox.

It is approximated that Pathaan is going to release on 8000 screens in more than 100 countries across the globe — the widest release ever for a Hindi film. In India, the movie was released on approximately 5000 screens, which is the biggest-ever release for a Hindi movie. If you compare SS Rajamouli’s RRR was released estimated 10,000 screens across the globe, and this was before it became a cult hit in the U.S.

Pathan has Rs 57 crore haul on day one is the biggest ever for a Hindi movie. Meanwhile, RRR has hauled Rs 133 crore net domestic in the last year, and KGF 2 has hauled Rs 116 crore in India. On the other hand globally, Pathaan has grossed Rs 106 crore on day one. RRR was also bigger than Pathaan on opening day in the U.S. where it made $3.4 million, as compared to Pathaan’s reported $1.5 million.

On the second day, SRK’s new movie collected more than the first one as expected because it was a national holiday in India. The film is estimated to have netted more than Rs 70 crore on Thursday, the biggest single-day haul ever for a Hindi movie.

The new trailer has got a huge response, it indicates that most of the viewers are eagerly waiting for the new tales that have captured the scenes.

The new trailer starts with a sequence of a watchman and an apartment residence. A woman has called the watchman, asking about things that have been dropped on the floor. She is telling him to bring those things to her in the room. The watchman brings the things but shows his pervertedness with those things. There are also many funny scenes in this trailer, the watchman greets another woman with some indications. 

In this show, the watchman has represented a symbol of a pervert, who brings a letter and asks to read it to another woman. There are many funny scenes in this show. At this point, we will see the entry of Aritaa Paul. In the nighttime, the two watchmen are discussing the beautiful ladies in this apartment. The two are one by one telling the name of the ladies in the apartment. However, things have crossed all the limits as the watchman starts to visit the room. In the end, the watchman has been rejected, but he is not ready to come on the track of rightness.
