From one VP to another: realme’s Madhav Sheth wishes the best of luck to Manu Kumar Jain

Recently, Xiaomi’s VP and the man behind making Xiaomi a huge success in India, Manu Kumar Jain has recently moved on from his company and took a moment to share his thoughts on the same via Twitter. To that, recently, Madhav Sheth, the CEO of realme India and now also the VP has replied with a nice gesture.

The sworn rivals of each other Xiaomi and realme both Chinese giant OEMs have had a nice journey so far in a competitive sense. Both of the Indian CEOs who turned global VP had an intense battle in the smartphone and later Smart TV or even IoT market.

realme’s Madhav Sheth once got rejected by Manu Kumar Jain’s Xiaomi to be a distribution partner

When Manu who has recently decided to move on from Xiaomi posted on Twitter, Madhav Seth replied to it by saying one day he was rejected to be one of Xiaomi’s distribution partners. He also acknowledged their competitive rivalry and also wished them the best of luck for the journey ahead to Manu.

Well, the social geek Manu also didn’t miss the opportunity to revert back to Madhav as he said, “Whoops! Looks like we missed out on a great opportunity!” and also tanked Madhav for his kind words. Now, everyone is looking forward to Jabong Co-Founder and what he has in his pipeline in the next few years, which company or venture he would be associated with henceforth.

Diego Llorente is to sign for Roma on loan with a buy option imminently

0

Roma are in talks with Leeds United for the signing of Diego Llorente. The two clubs are discussing a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent. An agreement is in place between the two clubs to get it done by the end of the transfer window.

And today, the contracts should be signed to get the deal over the line. The buy option included in the contract is valued at €15 million up-front, with an additional €3 million available in the form of bonus payments.

Diego Llorente to sign for Roma on loan

The player has arrived in Roma to complete the transfer, and should be announced as a new player for the club very soon.

After leaving Real Sociedad, Diego Llorente spent the last two and a half seasons at Elland Road. And now, he will be moving on from the club onto a new challenge.

This season, the Spaniard has only made eight appearances for Leeds United in the Premier League. And the limited playing time has been one of the factors causing him to push for a change in scenery.

Under Jose Mourinho, the Spaniard could shine in the Serie A. He will be replacing Matias Vina, who has signed for Bournemouth on loan with a buy option. With regular playing time, the 29-year-old could recapture his best form that led to a call-up to the Spain national team.

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

Since iPhone sales have started to level off in recent years, Apple is now positioning its services division, which includes everything from the App Store to licensing agreements, as its next major source of revenue growth. Apple wants to sell users continuously, continuing subscriptions for services they can access on their phones more than before.

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, Apple’s services division generated over $10.9 billion in revenue, setting records in every geographic category in the process. Additionally, Cook stated that between 2016 and 2020, Apple is on track to expand its services business. An increase of 19% from the prior quarter was seen.

Apple making good money by offering software services!

In comparison to Apple’s other business divisions, it’s a sizable sum: services already generate more revenue every quarter than the Mac, iPad, or the combined “Wearables, Home, and Accessories” group of goods. And when Apple starts to push services harder and develops additional services to which customers may subscribe, the balance will probably only keep shifting.

So what is already generating all of that revenue from services, and how healthy are those companies? There is a lot that no one can say because Apple doesn’t disclose the revenue generated by each service. However, everyone is aware of the firms that make up the category, their prices, and the quality of their products. Here is an assessment of the state of the services industry as it enters a new era.

Apple Music

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

Because it is one of the most cutting-edge offerings in Apple’s new services sector, Apple Music is likely the most well-known. It was one of the most intriguing when it debuted in 2015, following Apple’s acquisition and rebranding of Beats Music.

App Store

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

The enormously well-liked App Store, which was projected as of May 2018 to have witnessed upwards of 170 billion downloads in its 10-year lifespan, is perhaps one of the major sources of income for Apple.

Apple Pay

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

Apple Pay is the company’s all-encompassing payment system; it allows users to send money using Apple Pay Cash, make contactless payments at merchant locations, and make purchases inside applications and on websites using Apple Pay.

iCloud

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

Theoretically, since Apple provides all customers with a meagre 5GB of storage for free, every single person who owns a Mac, iPad, or iPhone is an iCloud user. However, the subscription plans, which offer consumers greater storage for a monthly fee, are what matter most in this situation for revenue.

iTunes

How is Apple making good money by offering software services?

With streaming services such as Hulu, Netflix, and Spotify, the iTunes store isn’t as successful as it once was. People simply prefer to buy fewer songs, movies, and TV shows these days. It is a one-stop shop for a wide variety of content, and like all of Apple’s other services, it is prominently displayed on all of its devices, so it still generates revenue. For a movie night, would you like to rent a movie on your Apple TV?

Union Berlin had reached an agreement with Isco for him to join as a free agent. The midfielder left Sevilla after falling out with head coach Jorge Sampaoli, and had his contract terminated early as a result.

The Bundesliga club had agreed a contract with him until the end of the season with the option for a further year. However, the move collapsed in the final stages, even though it had a here we go signal from Fabrizio Romano.

Isco to Union Berlin collapses in the final stages

Upon his exit from Sevilla, a move to the Premier League was rumoured for the attacking midfielder. Wolves was one of the potential destinations for the playmaker, which would have seen him reunite with former Real Madrid and Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui.

But, he had decided to take up a new challenge in Germany instead. RB Leipzig was one of the other clubs interested in signing him due to the injury to Dani Olmo. But, they ultimately decided to not go all-in, which has allowed Union Berlin to swoop in.

The capital club have been one of the standout performers this season in the German top flight. They are currently in second place, only a point behind league leaders Bayern Munich.

“We wanted to have Isco in Berlin, but we have our limits. These were exceeded today — contrary to the previous agreement”.

“The transfer will not happen”.“Conditions of the deal have changed compared to initial discussions”, as the player’s camp revealed.

Inaki Williams’ streak of 251 consecutive La Liga games finally ends with a minor injury

0

For the first time in seven years, Inaki Williams was not available for selection for Athletic Club. The striker was sidelined due to physical discomfort, and is expected to be back in the first team very soon since the issue is not serious at all.

Williams racked up 251 games on the run without being injured, which was from 20/04/2016 until 22/01/2023. He holds the streak for the most consecutive La Liga appearances in history, surpassing Juanan Larranaga’s record of 202 in October 2021.

Inaki Williams misses out on first La Liga game in seven years

His streak was in danger of breaking earlier this season when he picked up a small injury and had to be subbed off. However, he was back in time for the next game. This time, though, things haven’t panned out for him as well and his fortune with fitness has finally given in.

Inaki Williams spent his foundational years representing Spain at the youth level. But, he has committed to playing for Ghana at the senior level.

The striker has played 356 games for Athletic Club, scoring 76 goals during his time there. It is the only club he has played for, and he is on course to see out his entire career as a one-club man at the age of 28.

PSG make offer to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea on deadline day

0

PSG and Chelsea are in talks over the transfer of Hakim Ziyech. The player has accepted the proposal of the French club, and is open to leaving. However, the two teams need to find an agreement over the structure of the deal first.

Talks about the arrangement will take place today, and it could be a deadline day transfer if they can finalise the bid.

Hakim Ziyech close to joining PSG on deadline day

Since the end of the World Cup, the Moroccan has been able to find consistent game time and has been given a starting spot as well. However, things have been quite inconsistent for him over the last few years at Stamford Bridge.

While he has produced several instances of his sheer quality, he hasn’t been able to fully recapture his form from his Ajax days. And as things stand, the two could go their separate ways by the end of the day.

AC Milan were previously interested in signing Hakim Ziyech on a loan deal with the option to make it permanent. However, they weren’t able to finalise the numbers with Chelsea for the move to go through in the summer.

And after impressing with the Moroccan national team during the World Cup, the winger could play with Achraf Hakimi at the club level in Paris. The French side are on the lookout for a replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who joined Wolves, and Ziyech seems to be the man that they want to replace him.

Kuo: The next iPad won’t be a foldable model until 2024

0

According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s most recent notes, Apple won’t release new iPads until 2024. The iPad mini, which is anticipated to start mass production in Q1 2024, will be the first device to be announced, the analyst said, adding that no launches are expected in the upcoming “9-12 months.”

Anjie Technology will be the biggest gainer from the 2024 release of a foldable iPad, according to Kuo. The company will “continue to benefit from the expanding trends of foldable smartphones, fitted with kickstands in the future,” and although the majority of foldable can stand on their own, we think the analyst is referring to a case.

iPad

Because there aren’t any new goods, Apple is predicted to have a difficult 2023 in terms of tablet shipments, with a decrease of 10-15% predicted annually. A new mini and the first foldable Apple device will increase shipments and enhance the product mix in 2024.

iPad

OLED panels and slightly larger diagonals—11″ will become 11.1″, and a 13.1″ device will replace the 12.9″ model—are features of the upcoming iPad Pro devices, according to numerous sources. We’ll have to wait and see, but a report from December implied that a 16″ iPad would be coming.

In addition, there is a story of a foldable panel that is 20.25″ in size, which would be enormous and uncomfortably large for a hand-held device.
