These all are the hardware parts. OnePlus didn’t forget about the software part too. It already launched the OnePlus Launcher 4.4 for selected Android devices. Now bring the OxygenOS Update.
The updated one includes Smooth Battle 2.0, Live Wallpaper, Dark Theme, Alexa Support, Live Caption and so on.
Smooth Battle 2.0
As per OnePlus authority, they make 280 software optimizations to make the OxygenOS smoother. These will make users’ experience better. This update merging with the 90Hz display of OnePlus 8 and 120Hz display of OnePlus 8 Pro boost the experience to the next level.
Live Wallpapers
Dynamic wallpaper or you can say, live wallpaper is added in the new update. Users can connect the Live Wallpaper with the OnePlus Weather app so that the wallpaper changes as per the local weather. This can be an approach to connect a mobile addict with nature.
Dark Theme
The overall dark theme is available in Android version 10. But Oxygen’s one is compatible with more third-party apps.
Alexa Support
The new update provides the support of Amazon Alexa smart assistant. Users need to download the app to use. In the OnePlus 8 series user has an option to choose their favorite assistant to use.
Live Caption
For this feature, OnePlus worked with Google. It provides real-time captions of video or audios. Previously it was available in the Pixel phones. OnePlus also said that they had worked with Google the Oneplus 8 buyers to provide them 100 GB of Google cloud storage.
Rather than the mentioned features, there are also some improvements like “Work Mode” and “Life Mode”, Galley with Smart Albums, and many more.
