On its 3rd Friday (Day 15), the romantic action drama collected just ₹75 lakh nett in India — a drop of roughly 60% from the previous Friday and 15% from the previous day. That kind of week-on-week decline signals a film that’s quickly losing its grip on audiences.

Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment at a reportedly significant budget, O’Romeo needed strong legs well beyond Week 1 to be considered a hit. Those legs simply didn’t materialise.

Vishal Bharadwaj’s films usually polarise audiences — some are instant classics, others take time to find their audience. O’Romeo appears to be in the latter category, but unfortunately, the theatrical window may close before that happens.

Based on current trends, O’Romeo’s 3rd weekend is expected to add around ₹3–3.50 crore nett, pushing the total to approximately ₹57 crore nett. The film’s entire theatrical run is projected to conclude around ₹60 crore nett in India — a figure that falls short of expectations for a film of this caliber and budget.

It’s a bittersweet outcome. The film has its admirers, and Shahid Kapoor’s performance has received genuine praise. But box office success requires more than critical appreciation — it demands consistent audience pull, and O’Romeo just couldn’t sustain that beyond its opening week.
