Oppo Find N5 Foldable To Debut with Ultra-Thin Design

Oppo is preparing to launch the Oppo Find N5, a foldable smartphone with an impressively slim profile. Just recently, an image has emerged, which shows a size comparison of the device against the latest iPad Pro as shared by Billy Zhang, Oppo’s President of Overseas Marketing. Zhang emphasized on social media that the company invested significantly in engineering to deliver “an optimal experience, folded or unfolded.”

Oppo Find N5: Ultra-Thin Foldable Compared to iPad Pro Ahead of Launch

Pictures of the Find N5 in the wild have also started appearing online, revealing the phone’s sleek bodywork and where the cameras are positioned — just like we reported previously. The ultra-slim design of the foldable makes it a wonderful thing to look at and hints at Oppo’s determination to build a high-end yet easily portable device. It isn’t surprising that Oppo has us compare products from its lineup to Apple’s, as the company tends to do this itself in sort of a bragging way.

With the Find N5, Oppo seems to be implying that you could choose its foldable device over your iPad. After all, the Find N5 acts as a phone and tablet, particularly when you are using the phone as such — a powerful alternative to an Apple tablet that at least stands alone. Live images also uncovered some other notable features, including a USB-C port, a notification slider, and a power button featuring a fingerprint scanner. This design aspect further reinforces Oppo’s philosophy of form meeting function in their aesthetics.

As a flagship device, it should also be powered by a modified Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC but has one CPU core fewer than typical — seven rather than eight. While this might lead to raising eyebrows about its performance, only time will tell how the tweak affects real-world applications. With its combination of a slim profile, practical features, and bold claims, the Oppo Find N5 has generated significant anticipation. However, we’ll need to wait for its official launch to determine whether it truly delivers on its promises.
