Who Killed Lester? Full Explanation

The finale reveals that Mayor Beau Tillman killed Lester in a confrontation that followed Nicky’s violent outburst. A flashback shows Nicky, enraged by his wife Sofia’s affair with the mayor, cutting off Tillman’s finger at a high-stakes casino deal night. Lester intervened during the chaos, struggling with Nicky, who eventually collapsed, impaled by his own cleaver.

Later, Lester flees with the mayor’s severed finger, intending to expose the corruption underlying the casino scheme and save the Arconia. Tillman pursues Lester, leading to a dramatic fight in the courtyard where Lester falls into a fountain and suffers a fatal head injury. Tillman’s corrupt influence tries to cover up the truth, using his connections to neutralize threats and manipulate evidence.

In a brilliant twist, Mabel deduces the killer’s identity through a cryptic text autocorrect linked to Lester’s last message, culminating in a tense confrontation where Tillman is publicly exposed and arrested. The residents’ united efforts save the Arconia, setting the stage for future developments.
