The OnePlus Nord 5 has been circulating in rumours for some time, with its launch anticipated soon. The tipster, Yogesh Brar, currently believes the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 are launching on July 8. Although the information does not come with a confirmation, it is expected from the fact that the Nord 4 was also launched in July, precisely a year ago. The Nord series is OnePlus’ mid-range while delivering some performance-oriented smartphones.

OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE 5 Launch Tipped for July 8: Expected Specs, Pricing, and Battery Upgrades
According to Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus Nord 5 series is expected to launch globally on July 8, with India also launching on the same date, as the Nord 4 did previously. No official announcement or teaser has been made before about the same by OnePlus.
It is also speculated that the Nord 5 series might arrive as rebranded versions of China’s Ace 5 series. In terms of pricing, the OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to be priced around ₹30,000 in India, maintaining parity with the Nord 4’s ₹29,999 starting price.
The phone is likely to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, a new mid-range SoC derived from the flagship Dimensity 9400, whereas the Nord 4 used the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. A significant upgrade is anticipated in the battery department, with the Nord 5 rumoured to pack a 6,650mAh battery supported by 100W fast charging, a substantial leap from the Nord 4’s 5,500mAh battery. Camera specifications are expected to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 5, recently spotted on the BIS certification site, is confirmed for India. It is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device could be the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a shift from the Nord CE 4’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
The camera setup is tipped to include a 50MP Sony LYT600/IMX882 main sensor, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie camera, replacing the Nord CE 4’s 2MP depth sensor with an ultra-wide option. Additionally, the Nord CE 5 is rumoured to house a 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging, marking a notable battery upgrade even though charging speeds might slightly decrease from the previous 100W to 80W.
