OnePlus Buds Pro 3 Full Review

Design and Build: Compact Elegance

The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 sports a sleek in-ear design with silicone tips available in four sizes—XS, S, M, and L—ensuring a comfortable fit. Weighing just 5.28g per earbud, they maintain a lightweight profile, despite being heavier than some competitors.

Available in Lunar Radiance and Midnight Opus, the earbuds are housed in a pebble-shaped case, which although lacking an IP rating, complements the IP55-rated earbuds well. This Lunar Radiance variant looks good and feels good on the hands; it has a premium feel, which in this price range is quite rare.

App Integration and Specifications: User-Friendly Excellence

The companion Hey Melody app enhances the user experience with an intuitive interface for managing noise cancellation and equalization settings. It supports the Golden Sound feature, offering personalized sound through ear canal tests. Unlike traditional tap controls, the Buds Pro 3 employs squeeze and slide gestures for intuitive interaction, which can be customized through the app.

The Buds Pro 3 are equipped with dual DACs, an upgrade that significantly enhances audio quality by converting digital audio to analogue signals more effectively. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device connection, Google Fast Pairing, and USB Type-C connectivity.

Sound and Battery Performance: Immersive and Long-Lasting

Featuring an impressive 50dB ANC, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 offers various modes to suit different noise levels, including Smart mode for automatic adjustment. The ANC effectively reduces environmental noise, although low-frequency sounds may still penetrate at times.

Sound quality is a standout feature, with balanced and detailed audio output. Users can explore a six-band customizable equalizer and five Dynaudio-backed EQ presets, each offering a unique auditory experience. The earbuds deliver crisp highs and robust bass, making them apt for a range of music genres.

With a battery life reaching nearly 42 hours without ANC and about 24 hours with ANC activated, the Buds Pro 3 impresses with its endurance. The case supports both wired and wireless charging, providing seamless recharging options.

Verdict: A Compelling Choice in Wireless Earbuds

The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 emerges as a compelling choice for TWS earphones under Rs. 12,000. Offering a top-notch sound experience, elegant design, and robust battery life, they cater to casual listeners and audiophiles alike. Despite minor drawbacks, such as the absence of an IP rating for the case, the Buds Pro 3 offers excellent value for money and performance. If you’re in the market for reliable and feature-rich wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 deserve your consideration.
