OnePlus 9 Pro 5G to come with LTPO display and 120Hz refresh rate

OnePlus is soon going to launch one of its smartphones next month which can quickly become the first choice of a lot of customers. The smartphone we are talking about is OnePlus 9 Pro. This 5G smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest mobile processor, Snapdragon 888. It is also expected that the device will have a RAM of 12 GB. The handset will reportedly run on Android 11 straightaway.

But according to the new leak, we might see a huge upgrade in terms of display. A popular tipster reported that OnePlus 9 Pro will feature an LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) OLED display along with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is a huge development for the smartphone company. They brought a high refresh of 90 Hz in 2019 with the arrival of OnePlus 7 Pro.

They upgraded that smartphone in 2020 with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This was featured in OnePlus 8 Pro. With the expected arrival of OnePlus 9 Pro, the market anticipates that there will be another big upgrade in the display and this upgrade could be the presence of the LTPO screen. We have already seen the same display in some premium smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Now the refresh rate of the screen will be adjusted automatically. The device will check the level of refresh rate required based on the content that’s being shown. For example, an application or a game which requires a high refresh rate of 120 Hz will be offered that but if the content on the screen does not require higher refresh rate, it will be decreased to as low as 10 Hz.
