Camera: Two Possible Configurations

This is where the leaks genuinely conflict, so OnePlus may still be finalising hardware. A new leak from Digital Chat Station suggests the OnePlus 16 could feature a 200MP main camera, 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and 50MP ultrawide camera — contradicting earlier reports that claimed the phone would use a 50MP main camera alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.

The 200MP periscope option is reportedly based on a 1/1.56-inch sensor — quite a step up from the 50MP telephoto sensor used on the OnePlus 15.

Performance & Battery: The Real Headline

Digital Chat Station has revealed that the OnePlus 16 will feature a chipset with the codename SM8975, reportedly belonging to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro — expected to be a 2 nm-based chipset that may achieve a 5 GHz clock speed and support LPDDR6 RAM, compared to LPDDR5X on the Gen 5.

Expected specs include a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and IP68/IP69 durability. That’s a huge jump up from 7,300mAh on the OnePlus 15.
