Whether to buy the brand-new OnePlus 13 series or wait for to new Samsung Galaxy S25 series, is a question of timing, preference, and priority. Each flagship lineup boasts cutting-edge features, but their differences might make the most impact on what you consider important.

Should you buy the OnePlus 13 series now or wait for the Galaxy S25 series?

What makes the OnePlus 13 series shine is its terrific value. It comes with an incredible 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO 4.1 ProXDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an industry-leading brightness of 4,500 nits. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 24GB RAM, and 1TB storage, multitasking and gaming are effortless. A Hasselblad-powered triple-camera lives on the back, consisting of a 50MP main, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope 3x optical zooming telephoto with Hasselblad branding.

Moreover, the 6,000mAh battery has 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, so you should have minimal downtime. Starting at ₹69,999 in India, it makes a strong case for those looking at the premium smartphone segment. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 series aims to deliver revolutionary changes through the S25 Ultra model. In general, they include its Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with increased exposure and an enormous 6.9–inch screen for immersive viewing.

With the Snapdragon 8 Elite on a global scale or the Exynos 2500 on a regional scale, the S25 series should bring some seriously powerful performance. The Ultra model will have that crazy 200MP main sensor which should give it a detail and sharpening edge over the competition. However, the battery setup may not be as exciting, with 45W fast charging for the Ultra and S25+ models, and 25W for the base model. Expect a premium price tag, with the S25 Ultra potentially priced from ₹1,35,000 up in India.

So, if you need a phone right now, the OnePlus 13 series has other great features at a price point that is comparable to the OnePlus 13 series. If you are invested in Samsung’s ecosystem or want to take advantage of its display and camera improvements, though, it might be worth waiting for the Galaxy S25 series. Ultimately your decision is down to your budget, tastes, and whether you’re willing to wait for the latest technology.
