One Year In, Already Joining the Elite: CORTIS’s “GREENGREEN” Crosses 4 Million Sales

Rookie groups usually spend years building toward million-seller status. CORTIS just did it twice — in the same debut year.

CORTIS’s sophomore EP “GREENGREEN” has officially sold over 4.1 million copies, making it only the second album released in 2026 to cross that milestone, and cementing the group’s explosive rise just one year into their career.

GREENGREEN: Overview

A Rookie Group Growing at an Unusual Pace

What makes this achievement particularly striking isn’t just the raw sales number — it’s the growth trajectory behind it. “GREENGREEN” has sold nearly double the cumulative total of CORTIS’s debut EP, “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,” in a significantly shorter window of time. For a group barely a year into their career, that kind of acceleration signals a rapidly expanding fanbase rather than a one-off comeback spike.

Joining an Extremely Exclusive Club

Crossing 4 million copies sold puts CORTIS in genuinely rarefied company. The only other album to hit this benchmark in 2026 so far is BTS’s “ARIRANG” — meaning CORTIS, a group still in its debut year, is now standing alongside one of K-pop’s most globally dominant acts in terms of pure sales numbers. That comparison alone underscores just how quickly the group has established itself within the industry’s upper tier.

Why This Milestone Matters

Album sales at this scale reflect more than just chart performance — they’re a direct indicator of a fanbase’s purchasing commitment, often tied to physical album formats, photocards, and repeat purchases that are deeply embedded in K-pop fan culture. For a rookie group to reach million-seller status this quickly suggests HYBE’s newest act has successfully converted early buzz into sustained, large-scale commercial support — a critical marker of long-term staying power in an industry where many debuts fail to build this kind of momentum.
