Two People, Two Very Different Worlds
The star: Uhm Tae Bong is an A-list actor famous for romance dramas, yet he has one fatal flaw. In the teaser, he stops a kiss scene with Song Na Ri just before their lips meet. The director is exasperated, and his manager can’t help asking whether he has truly never kissed anyone.
The fan: Oh Hae Ra is a chaebol heiress who lives alone in a quiet, grand mansion. She is a daughter who has drifted away from the Chairman’s interest, and her only joy is watching Prince’s Bodyguard, the drama starring Tae Bong. While watching, she imagines herself as his leading lady and wishes something would happen to her too.
The Moment Everything Changes
News breaks that Tae Bong was hurt while filming. Hae Ra decides it may be her last chance to see him and rushes out of the mansion, and then she has an accident. When she wakes up, she is convinced she is Cha Hong Doo, the female lead of Prince’s Bodyguard, and that Tae Bong is really the male lead, Han Jung Woo.
Why It Could Be Fun?
The premise plays on a classic fantasy: the fan who meets her favorite star. But the twist is that she isn’t just meeting him, she believes she belongs in his story. Meanwhile, he is a romance expert who freezes at the key moment. The contrast sets up plenty of comedy, and the “is she confused or is it fate?” question adds a layer of mystery. It’s a romance with a built-in secret on both sides.
