The Nothing Phone (1) is closer to launching officially than ever before, ahead of this, some key details about the upcoming device have surfaced. The latest details give us a better idea of the fingerprint sensor and the refresh rates of the phone.
Nothing Phone (1) will feature the Snapdragon 778+ 5G chip:
As per notable tipster Yogesh Brar, the Phone (1) will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner over an optical one. An optical sensor is usually available in high-end devices which makes it surprising that we are getting this on a mid-ranger.
Apart from this, the tipster also revealed some information about the camera. It performs great for its price and previous leaks have hinted that the device will retail between $397 and $456. This means that it will perform rather fairly and the ultrawide camera on the phone will double down as a macro shooter which justifies the brand’s selection of a dual-camera setup over a triple-camera setup.
The Nothing Phone(1) will feature a 6.55″ OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie shooter and it will have even-sized bezels all around.
The upcoming device will feature the Snapdragon 778+ 5G chip with support for up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The most recent certification revealed that the device will support 33W fast charging for the 4,500mAh battery version and it will support 45W charging.
On the camera front, we will see a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP+16MP setup and on the front, it will arrive with a 16MP selfie shooter. The device will officially launch on the 12th of July, which is just two days away!
