NODWIN Gaming, a prominent esports and gaming entertainment company, and Nodding Heads Games have announced the establishment of the inaugural India Games Showcase (IGS). The digital event is designed to introduce promising independent Indian game titles to a global audience, premiering on June 8.

The showcase is slated to feature 40 curated titles, presented through trailers, reveals, gameplay demonstrations, and announcements. This initiative aims to highlight the creativity and diversity emanating from Indian game studios.

The India Games Showcase will operate as an official partner event of Summer Game Fest, the annual video game celebration founded by Geoff Keighley. Concurrently, a dedicated Steam event will facilitate player discovery and wishlisting for participating games.

India’s game development sector has expanded significantly over the past decade, with developers creating original experiences across various genres and artistic styles. However, many independent studios face hurdles in reaching international markets. The IGS seeks to address this by providing a dedicated platform within a major global gaming event.

Nodding Heads Games, known for Raji: An Ancient Epic—a pivotal title for Indian game development that secured a nomination at The Game Awards in the Best Debut Game category—is spearheading the showcase.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of [NODWIN Gaming](https://nodwingaming.com/), commented on the initiative: “There is a significant creative energy within the Indian indie ecosystem. Developers are merging world-class mechanics with culturally rich storytelling, which has not been widely exposed to the global gaming community. Our objective is to ensure that quality games developed in India achieve global visibility and recognition.”

Avichal Singh, Co-founder and Game Director at Nodding Heads Games, added: “The debut of the India Games Showcase signifies the progress Indian independent developers are making on the international stage. The recent growth in the quality and variety of titles is encouraging. Our collaboration with Summer Game Fest further validates the country’s contributions, and we anticipate future developments.”

The showcase receives support from a community of Indian game developers who have volunteered their expertise to advance the country’s independent game ecosystem.
