You settle in on Saturday evening, snacks ready, and your favourite show isn’t on. Before you blame your TV, know that it isn’t a glitch. It is a scheduled break.
If you follow Korean TV updates, here is exactly what’s missing from tonight’s lineup and why.

Why Are These Shows Off the Air?
As the Asian Games winds to a close this weekend, Korean broadcasters are making room for sports coverage. MBC’s Music Core, which is already on hiatus, will not air as usual on October 3 for that reason. Three other popular shows are also taking the night off.
Korean Shows: Overview
| Show | Network | Status on October 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Music Core | MBC | Not airing (continuing hiatus) |
| How Do You Play? | MBC | Not airing |
| Immortal Songs | KBS 2TV | Not airing |
| Love on the Menu | KBS 2TV | Not airing |
What This Means for Viewers?
It is a one-night pause, not a cancellation. Special sports coverage regularly takes over the schedule during major events, and regular programming typically returns afterwards. For Music Core, which is already in the middle of a hiatus, fans will have to wait a little longer for the next stage.
Here is what you can do tonight:
- Catch up on Love on the Menu. Full episodes with subtitles are available on Viki.
- Watch the Asian Games. The sports coverage is the reason for the schedule change.
- Revisit older stages and episodes from your favourite shows.
A Small Silver Lining?
Hiatus weekends give fans a breather. If you have been behind on a drama or variety show, this is a good chance to catch up without worrying about missing a live broadcast.
