Nick Jonas Called Priyanka Chopra His ‘Jaan’ on Mother’s Day — and India Collectively Lost Its Heart All Over Again

There’s “national jiju” — and then there’s this. Nick Jonas set the internet ablaze on Mother’s Day 2026 with a post for Priyanka Chopra Jonas that reminded everyone exactly why India adopted him as one of its own. No celebrity PR speak. No stiff, posed photograph. Just pure, undeniable love — in Hindi, no less.

Priyanka Chopra: The Post That Broke the Internet

Nick Jonas shared a series of never-before-seen photographs featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas on Mother’s Day, capturing candid moments of the mother-daughter duo having a blast in the water, as well as a serene shot of Priyanka holding Malti close.

The caption did the rest of the work. Nick wrote a heartfelt note for his wife, expressing his deep admiration for her, addressing her as his “Jaan” and describing her as the wind beneath their wings. A pop star from New Jersey dropping a classic Hindi term of endearment for his Bollywood queen wife — the internet had absolutely no defences against this.

It is this particular quality — the effortless warmth with which Nick has embraced Indian culture, language and traditions — that has made him such a beloved figure among Indian fans.
