The dust has barely settled on Spain’s triumph in New Jersey, and already football fans are looking ahead to the next chapter. With Spain crowned champions on July 19 after edging Argentina 1-0 thanks to Ferran Torres’ extra-time strike, attention now shifts to a World Cup unlike any before it — one built to honour the tournament’s very first edition.

A Four-Year Wait, A Century-Long Tribute

The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted across six nations spanning three continents, with Morocco, Portugal and Spain serving as the primary hosts. To mark the tournament’s 100th anniversary, FIFA has arranged special centenary matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay — the very countries where it all began in 1930.

What’s Still Unconfirmed

FIFA has yet to release the full match schedule, and the final’s exact date and venue remain unofficial for now. For live updates as details emerge, fans can check the official FIFA website.
