Nevermore Academy Gets A New Face: Oliver Cunliffe Joins Wednesday Season 3

The gates of Nevermore are creaking open again, and this time a rising British talent is stepping through them. BAFTA-nominated actor Oliver Cunliffe has officially signed on for a recurring role in Wednesday Season 3, joining what might be the show’s most star-studded lineup yet.

Netflix is staying tight-lipped on exactly who Cunliffe will play, but a “recurring” credit means he won’t just be a one-episode blip — expect him woven into the season’s central mystery across multiple episodes.

Who Is Oliver Cunliffe?

Standing at 6-foot-3, Cunliffe already has genre chops. He’s best known for playing Louis in the CBBC/Hulu sci-fi drama Silverpoint, a role that helped the show land two BAFTA nominations. He’s also appeared in Amazon’s Patterns, Sky’s Safe Space, and BBC’s long-running EastEnders.

A Season Packed With Big Names

Cunliffe isn’t the only new arrival at Nevermore. Season 3 has already confirmed a wave of heavyweight additions, including Eva Green as Wednesday’s estranged Aunt Ophelia, Winona Ryder reuniting with Tim Burton as Tabitha, and names like Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, Chris Sarandon, and Noah Taylor rounding out the guest roster. Core cast members Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, and Fred Armisen are all confirmed to return, while Noah B. Taylor’s Bruno Yuson is exiting to make room for fresh faces.

Production is currently underway across Ireland and Paris, with Netflix eyeing a mid-2027 release.
