Wednesday Season 3: Paris Road Trips, a Deadly Aunt, and a 2027 Wait

Wednesday Addams is heading back to Nevermore, but fans will need patience. Filming is well underway, and a 2027 return looks most likely.

Wednesday Season 3 : Overview

What the Story Looks Like

Season 2 left Enid stuck as an Alpha werewolf, so Wednesday and Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen, hit the road to find her. Filming took over central Paris in April, with Fester’s sidecar motorcycle zooming along the Seine.

Expect darker stakes. A vision of Aunt Ophelia, locked away and scrawling a death threat against Wednesday, sets up what the showrunners tease as the Addams family’s darkest chapter. Tyler, freed by Wednesday’s moment of mercy, is also set to return. The gang will be seniors this time, facing life after Nevermore.

New Faces at Nevermore

Eva Green joins as Aunt Ophelia, and Winona Ryder reunites with Burton and Ortega. Other newcomers include Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, and Oliver Cunliffe. Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Joanna Lumley all return.

Production Hiccups

Eva Green suffered a leg injury on set in June. In September, reports claimed filming paused while scripts were rewritten, though local reports suggested shooting continued, so treat the timeline with caution.

Is Season 3 the End?

Ortega said in August the series was “coming to a head,” which alarmed fans. But Millar says they’ll make as many seasons as Netflix wants, and an Uncle Fester spin-off remains in development.
