Netflix Top 10 Breakdown: The Week Gabby’s Dollhouse Quietly Outperformed Everyone’s Expectations

Every Tuesday, Netflix’s viewership data tells its own little soap opera — winners, fading hits, and shows quietly building momentum in the background. The week of September 14–20, 2026 was no exception, delivering one of the more interesting mixes in months: a true-crime powerhouse at #1, a rowing drama earning its Season 2 the easy way, a kids’ show still growing after 14 seasons, and a buzzy reboot that’s already losing steam.

Quick Comparison Table

1. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story — 12.1M views

The fourth chapter in Ryan Murphy’s true-crime anthology topped the week comfortably. It’s the franchise’s softest opening yet, trailing “The Ed Gein Story” (12.2M) and “The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” (12.3M), but the gap is razor-thin — effectively a tie. Every “Monster” season has hit #1 on debut since “DAHMER” launched in 2022, and the franchise has now crossed nearly 170 million cumulative views since 2023, despite a rocky 42% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.

2. Crew Girl: Season 1 — 11.3M views

The real headline of the week. “Crew Girl” jumped nearly 120% week-over-week, a growth curve so strong it secured a Season 2 renewal within days. For context, that surge put it ahead of similarly-timed titles like “Little House on the Prairie” and “The Boroughs,” and in the same growth tier as pricier shows like “Nemesis.” It’s proof that word-of-mouth, not just marketing budget, can carry a teen drama.

3. The Gentlemen: Season 2 — 6.0M views

Guy Ritchie’s crime comedy sequel is cooling fast. Down 39% from the previous week and now tracking 49% behind Season 1 at the same three-week mark, its early Week 2 bump turned out to be a blip rather than a trend. Season 1 pulled 44M views over three weeks; Season 2 has managed just 22.6M in the same window.

4. Gabby’s Dollhouse: Season 14 — 4.3M views

The real sleeper hit of the week. Fourteen seasons in, Netflix’s longest-running kids’ show posted its best debut since Season 8 — outperforming Seasons 9 through 13 outright. Some of that boost likely comes from residual buzz off its recent theatrical movie, though a trimmed episode count (down to four episodes) also made the climb a little easier.

5. The Gentlemen: Season 1 — 3.4M views

Season 2’s release gave the original season a second wind, pulling it back into the Top 10 in its 13th week — a full three months after its own debut. It’s a solid example of how a sequel’s marketing push can resurrect interest in the original, even if the new season itself is underperforming.

6. Raw: September 14, 2026 — 3.1M views

WWE’s flagship show continues its steady, dependable presence in Netflix’s Top 10, up 33% week-over-week. Live sports and wrestling content has become a quiet consistency play for Netflix — rarely a chart-topper, but a reliable weekly draw that keeps subscribers checking in.

7. Death of the Pastor’s Wife: Season 1 — 2.5M views

This true-crime drama saw a steep 58% drop in its fourth week, a typical decline curve for limited-run mystery series once the novelty and spoiler-free window wears off.

8. Jo Koy: Blue in the Face — 2.5M views

The comedian’s new special debuted modestly. Stand-up specials on Netflix tend to have shorter shelf lives in the Top 10 compared to scripted series, and this one followed that familiar pattern.

9. Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs: Season 5 — 2.0M views

A steady performer for Netflix’s growing slate of educational/family content, this YouTuber-turned-Netflix-creator series continues to find a loyal, if modest, audience season after season.

10. Beauty in Black: Season 3 — 1.9M views

Tyler Perry’s drama dropped 43% in its fourth week — a sharper decline than most, suggesting the show’s audience frontloads its viewing rather than binging steadily across weeks.
