Meghan Markle is set to return to screens as Netflix renews her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, for a second season. Despite facing strong criticism, the streaming giant has doubled down on its investment in the Duchess of Sussex’s project, signaling confidence in its success. The first season, which premiered on March 4, 2025, sparked intense debate but still managed to climb into Netflix’s Top 10 in 47 countries within 24 hours.

The renewal, announced on March 7, 2025, comes as a surprise to critics but a delight to fans. Meghan herself confirmed the news on Instagram, posting, “If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up for Season 2!” This latest development highlights how polarizing With Love, Meghan has been, with some viewers applauding its warmth and charm while others dismiss it as self-indulgent.

What Made ‘With Love, Meghan’ So Popular?

The show, filmed in a picturesque Montecito farmhouse near Meghan and Prince Harry’s residence, blends lifestyle advice with heartfelt conversations. Celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling and chef Roy Choi added to its appeal, while surprise appearances—such as a brief cameo by Prince Harry—kept audiences engaged.

Meghan’s approach focuses on “playfulness over perfection,” as Netflix describes it, offering insights into flower arranging, cooking, and home decor. This casual yet elegant style resonated with many, leading to a dedicated fanbase. Social media reactions were quick to celebrate its success, with one fan posting on X, “Top 10 around the world and Season 2 confirmed—haters can’t stop this glow-up!”

Harsh Criticism Doesn’t Halt Progress

However, With Love, Meghan hasn’t been without detractors. UK media outlets have been particularly vocal in their skepticism. Stuart Heritage of The Guardian slammed it as “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show,” while Daily Mail’s Amanda Platell labeled it “an exercise in narcissism.” Even Screen Rant gave it a mere 3/10, arguing that it “lacks useful guidance” for ordinary viewers.

Netflix Confirms Meghan Markle’s ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2 Despite Backlash

Despite these critiques, Netflix remains undeterred. The streaming platform had already wrapped filming for Season 2 before officially announcing its renewal. Industry insiders suggest that Netflix’s continued investment in Meghan’s brand is a strategic move to capitalize on her global reach, even if the show divides opinion.

What to Expect from Season 2?

While details remain under wraps, Season 2 is expected to build on the same mix of intimate storytelling and hands-on activities. Meghan, who also serves as an executive producer through Archewell Productions, will once again team up with renowned names in television, including Leah Hariton and Michael Steed, the latter known for his work on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

With Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, As Ever, launching soon, speculation is rife that the second season could subtly weave in elements from her business ventures. Some fans even wonder if Prince Harry will take on a larger role—perhaps showing off his cooking skills?

A Love-It-or-Hate-It Phenomenon

Few shows elicit such extreme reactions, but With Love, Meghan is proving to be an undeniable conversation starter. Whether seen as a refreshing take on lifestyle programming or an extravagant vanity project, its ability to dominate headlines is undeniable.

Netflix’s decision to greenlight another season signals confidence in Meghan’s ability to attract viewers—regardless of the controversy. Love it or loathe it, With Love, Meghan isn’t going anywhere just yet.
