Netflix crosses 2 million Subscriber milestone in India

Netflix is one of the costliest online video streaming platform, no doubt. But the contests are crunchier enough that Indians are agreed to spend a good amount happily. The stats, at least, are saying that. CompariTech published a chart based on the recently released official data by Netflix, where it is mentioned more than 2 million Indians are enjoying Netflix content. Netflix, earlier, already reported that it gained more than 15.8 million global subscribers during this pandemic situation.

For Netflix, the US, Brazil, and the UK still are the gold mines with more than 94 million subscribers in the Q1 of 2020. After that, in the top 10 list, comes Mexico, France, Canada, Germany, Australia, Argentina, and Spain. Our India comes in the 16th position following Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, New Zealand, and Sweden respectively.

Netflix has more that 2 million subs in India Q1 2020_TechnoSports.co.in

Netflix jumped to around 183 million subscribers, in 2020 Q1, from 167 million subscribers. For this growth, the pandemic is also responsible, besides the content quality. The revenue grows far from $20.1 billion. 38% of the current revenue is coming only from the US and Canada. Europe, Middle East, and Afrika are contributing 32%, Latin America 19%, and the Asia Pacific is supplying 11% of the revenue.

The stats from Q2 is on its way. It is estimated the online video streaming giant will reach 200 million subs with 6 billion quarterly revenue. We need to wait till the end of this month to see the actual stat.
