Netflix has stacked its April 2026 slate with returning heavyweights, fresh anime, big-budget action, and a college comedy that has Sandler fingerprints all over it. The Full Breakdown of Netflix Shows

🎬 1. XO, Kitty Season 3 — April 2
Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for her junior year, and the emotional stakes have never been higher. Following Season 2’s cliffhanger, Kitty finds herself caught between complicated feelings for Min Ho and Yuri, while still digging into the mysteries surrounding her mother’s past at KISS Academy. Anna Cathcart continues to charm in this spin-off of the beloved To All the Boys universe. If you’re after a light, romantic binge to kick off the month, this one delivers every time.
2. Beef Season 2 — April 16
The Emmy-sweeping anthology returns — and this time the feud hits even closer to home. Season 2 centres on a young couple (Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny) who witness a violent altercation between their billionaire boss (Oscar Isaac) and his wife (Carey Mulligan). What starts as someone else’s drama quickly spirals into their own unravelling. Creator Lee Sung Jin brings the same suffocating tension and dark comedy that made Season 1 a cultural moment. This is the one everyone will be talking about in April.

3. Roommates — April 17
Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions is back, this time putting his daughter Sadie Sandler centre-stage. She plays Devon, a wide-eyed college freshman who thinks pairing up with the cool and confident Celeste (Chloe East) is a social win — until their friendship gradually becomes an all-out passive-aggressive war. Directed by Chandler Levack with a stellar ensemble including Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, and Storm Reid, this Gen Z campus comedy has sleeper hit written all over it.
4. Running Point Season 2 — April 23
Mindy Kaling’s sharp NBA front-office comedy is back for round two. Kate Hudson returns as Isla Gordon, President of the fictional Los Angeles Waves, still fighting for respect in a male-dominated boardroom while managing her chaotic family. Season 2 dives into the madness of trade deadline season, adds Ray Romano to the mix, and promises even more high-profile cameos from real NBA names. It’s funny, fast, and smarter than it looks.

5. Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 — April 23
Hawkins isn’t done with us yet. This new animated spinoff from the Duffer Brothers revisits the summer of 1985 — between Seasons 2 and 3 of the main show — for a “lost adventure” with the original gang. The animation style takes heavy inspiration from Saturday morning cartoons of the era, and while the original cast doesn’t return to voice their characters, the nostalgia hit is going to be very real for longtime fans. Think of it as a love letter to the era — and to everyone who cried at the Season 4 finale.
6. Apex — April 24
Charlize Theron leads this high-octane action thriller as a veteran special ops soldier turned climber who is pulled back into danger when hikers are taken hostage on a remote mountain. Directed by Baltasar Kormákur (Everest), the film is built around real stunts and practical effects over CGI — making it a rarity in today’s blockbuster landscape. It’s already being described as “Die Hard on a mountain,” and that pitch alone should have you setting a reminder.
7. Dandelion (Anime) — April TBD
Anime fans get a genuine treat this month. Dandelion marks the screen debut of a manga by Hideaki Sorachi — the legendary mind behind Gintama — adapted by studio NAZ. Two angels sent to Earth to guide lost souls quickly discover that humans are far more delightfully chaotic than they ever imagined. Expect Sorachi’s signature blend of fourth-wall-breaking comedy and unexpectedly emotional moments. If you’ve never watched Gintama, this is a perfect entry point.
