What Netizens Are Saying?
The disappointed: One viewer felt the plot had promise but the story barely moved forward, calling the storytelling chaotic and dull. They said the comedy worked in parts, the horror didn’t land, and Yami’s screen presence was wasted. Another gave it 1.5 out of 5, saying the supernatural concept struggled to deliver the chills and laughs it promised.
The fans: Not everyone agrees. One viewer called the film powerful and engaging and said Yami stole the show in this folklore-based mystery.
The common ground: Praise tends to go to Yami’s portrayal of the mysterious Mohini and to the background score. The direction takes most of the criticism.
Should You Watch It?
If you love folklore-driven stories and enjoy Yami Gautam on screen, it may still be worth a look, especially for the performances and music. If you’re after consistent scares or tightly paced comedy, you may want to lower your expectations. Horror-comedy is a tricky blend, and reactions suggest the film doesn’t always balance it.
