It has been years since a Mysskin film hit theatres. Fans of the Tamil director are still waiting on two finished projects, and now he has spoken honestly about it. His message is part heartbreak, part hope: it hurts, but he’s moving on.
Mysskin’s Delayed Films

| Story ideas in hand | 26, including one for Mammootty |
| Recent narration | A story told to Lokesh Kanagaraj |

“There Is Pain, but You Have to Move On”
In a conversation on Avudaiappan Talks, as reported by Pinkvilla, Mysskin admitted that the uncertain fate of Pisasu 2 and Train has caused him real pain. He has completed both films, yet there has been no directorial release since Psycho in 2020.
He compared filmmaking to a battlefield, where directors face big egos both on and off the set. He also admitted that too much creative ambition can work against you, a lesson he says he learned the hard way.
The Dream That Changed Things
Mysskin shared a vivid dream that he believes captured his feelings. In it, a huge elephant carried two dead babies and left them near the well of his house. He fetched fruit and water and placed them beside the animal.
Out of curiosity, he asked ChatGPT to interpret the dream. It suggested he might have two dead relatives on his mind. Mysskin read it differently: the two babies were Pisasu 2 and Train.
The dream helped him realise he had already let go. He says he began writing something new straight away, and that anger isn’t worth it. His philosophy is simple: walk forward.
What’s Next for Mysskin?
There is good news in the middle of the heartache:
- A story for Lokesh Kanagaraj. Mysskin recently narrated a story to the director, who liked it a lot.
- A script for Mammootty. It is one of 26 story ideas he is sitting on.
- Sathyavan Savithri. The film is lined up as his upcoming project.
Mysskin also made his Malayalam debut with I’m Game and had a cameo in Love Insurance Kompany.
Why This Matters for Fans?
Film delays are rarely discussed so openly. Mysskin didn’t blame anyone or vent. He simply described what it feels like to wait on finished films and how he chose to keep creating. For a director known for his intense, offbeat style, hearing him talk about 26 fresh stories is encouraging.
A Mysskin script in the hands of Lokesh Kanagaraj or Mammootty would also be a combination worth waiting for, though nothing is confirmed yet.
