If you’ve been waiting for Business Proposal-level chemistry wrapped in a fresh countryside setting, your wait is officially over. SBS’s Sold Out on You premieres on April 22, 2026, and it has every ingredient of a sleeper hit that quietly takes over your entire week.
What Is Sold Out on You About?
At its heart, this is a classic romantic comedy — but with a setup that’s anything but ordinary. Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop) is a perfectionist farmer in the rural Deokpung Village and the world’s only known cultivator of rare white flower nuri mushrooms. Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin) is a high-powered home shopping show host plagued by severe insomnia who travels to the village desperately needing those mushrooms. Their first meeting goes terribly wrong. Their second goes worse. And somewhere between all that bickering and hidden pain, love quietly sneaks in. For all the latest K-drama coverage, visit TechnoSports.
4 Key Reasons This Drama Has Everyone Talking
| Watch Point | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Ahn Hyo Seop’s rom-com return | His first romantic comedy since the global hit Business Proposal |
| Cross-generational cast chemistry | Chae Won Bin, Kim Bum & veteran Go Doo Shim share the screen |
| A enemies-to-lovers slow burn | Two people hiding wounds who slowly heal each other |
| Healing + sitcom-style humor | City vs countryside contrast brings warmth and laugh-out-loud comedy |
1. Ahn Hyo Seop Is Back in His Rom-Com Element
Often called “SBS’s son” for his string of hits on the network — including the Dr. Romantic series and Lovers of the Red Sky — Ahn Hyo Seop shot to global fame through Business Proposal. Matthew Lee is the cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside type that he plays with effortless precision. This is the role fans have been waiting for.
2. A Cast That Spans Generations
Chae Won Bin steps into her very first romantic comedy lead here, bringing a new energy distinct from her earlier roles. Joining her is Kim Bum as Seo Eric and legendary veteran actress Go Doo Shim as Mrs. Song Hak — a combination that promises layered storytelling beyond the central romance. The Deokpung Village ensemble cast adds further texture and charm to the world.
3. Enemies-to-Lovers Done Right
Matthew and Ye Jin clash every single time they meet — but beneath the bickering lies two people quietly carrying hidden wounds. As they begin to understand each other’s pain and offer comfort, the shift from tension to tenderness is set to be exactly the kind of slow-burn payoff that K-drama fans live for.
4. Healing Humor With a Countryside Soul
Director Ahn Jong Yeon — known for his distinct comedic touch in Seoul Busters — brings sitcom-style humor that perfectly offsets the emotional depth. The contrast between Ye Jin’s grey, exhausting city life and the lush green fields of Deokpung Village is meant to feel genuinely therapeutic.
