MSI Unveils Support for AMD Ryzen™ 9000 Series Processors: Redefining High-Performance Computing

MSI has just announced the launch of the highly anticipated AMD Ryzen™ 9000 Series processors, set to debut on the new X870 chipsets. This announcement comes with a promise to revolutionize computing with unparalleled performance, efficiency, and versatility for both gamers and content creators.

A New Benchmark in Computing

The AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors, built on cutting-edge 4nm CPU process technology, are poised to set new standards in the industry. At launch, four new CPUs will be available:

• Ryzen™ 9 9950X
• Ryzen™ 9 9900X
• Ryzen™ 7 9700X
• Ryzen™ 5 9600X

These processors are compatible with the AM5 socket and existing AMD 600 Series motherboards. Users can seamlessly integrate these new CPUs by updating to the latest BIOS, which is readily available on MSI’s product support page.

Live Demonstrations at COMPUTEX 2024

Visitors to COMPUTEX 2024 can get a firsthand look at the new processors in action at the MSI booth. Two models, the MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI and PRO X870-P WIFI, will be showcased. Additionally, a comprehensive lineup across the MPG and MEG series ensures that there’s something for everyone’s needs.

Key Features of the MSI X870 Motherboards

The latest generation of MSI motherboards offers several highly anticipated features:

EZ PCIe Release and EZ PCIe Clip II

• EZ PCIe Release: Allows users to effortlessly remove graphics cards from the primary PCIe Gen 5.0 slot on X870-based motherboards.
• EZ PCIe Clip II: Features an improved hooking mechanism for easier installation and removal of graphics cards.

Enhanced PCIe Slot Durability

With the increasing size and weight of modern graphics cards, MSI has strengthened its motherboards by adding three additional anchor points and using thicker material for the slots. This results in a PCIe slot that is 121% stronger than previous generations and can withstand twice the weight of current graphics cards.

EZ M.2 Clip II

The second generation of EZ M.2 Clip II introduces a screwless design for easier installation and removal of M.2 SSD storage. A simple squeeze of the side latch opens the Screwless M.2 Frozr, while a push locks the M.2 SSD in place, making the process quick and effortless.

Advanced Connectivity

All X870 motherboards are equipped with Lightning PCIe Gen 5.0 and M.2 slots, maximizing bandwidth potential. A USB 4 connector is now standard, supporting speeds of up to 40GB/s.

Upgraded Networking Capabilities

Connectivity upgrades include a quick-release Wi-Fi antenna module and cutting-edge technologies such as 5G LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. These features ensure swift data transfer and seamless networking, whether gaming or multitasking.

Conclusion

With the launch of the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors and the new X870 motherboards, MSI continues to lead the way in high-performance computing. Stay tuned for more updates and availability information on MSI’s website.
