The MSI Titan 18 HX has an 18-inch Mini LED display with a broad color gamut and excellent HDR. At 1000 nits, it has a peak brightness that is more than twice as bright as an LCD. The VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification supports its 2M:1 contrast ratio. Compared to other enthusiast gaming laptops, the Titan 18 HX’s display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The MSI Titan 18 HX will include an AUO AmLED panel with a 2M:1 contrast ratio and a max brightness of 1000 nits, according to MSI. Hence, the panel has VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Because Adaptive Control Technology is used, MSI claims that the Titan 18 HX’s display will have less halo effects than other mini-LED displays.
It promises more than 1,000 nits of peak brightness, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 3ms response time, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, in addition to having a 4K resolution and 120Hz frame rate. It also boasts VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.
The Intel Core i9-14900HX is likely to be one of, if not the only, choice available for the Titan 18 HX, although the specifications of its internal components are not disclosed.
Battery | Internal 6 cells (99Whr) |
Power Adapter | Output: 400W 19V DC, Input: 100~240V AC, 50/60Hz universal |
Not the newly released Meteor Lake chips, which are targeted at mainstream laptops, but the flagship Raptor Lake Refresh mobile CPU. Core i9-14900HX has a maximum turbo power design of 157W (55W PL1), with 24 cores (8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores), 32 threads, and a frequency of up to 5.8 GHz.
The retail listings by US-based retailers have revealed that the MSI Titan 18 HX is equipped with top-notch specifications, including NVIDIA’s top-tier GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and Intel’s flagship Core i9-14900HX CPU with 24 cores/32 threads.
This will make things much more interesting even though MSI hasn’t officially revealed the specifications for the Titan 18 HX. The laptop, which MSI intends to debut at CES 2024, will establish a commanding presence in the laptop market. Over $5,000 US is anticipated to be the price.
