In Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ms. Marvel become top rated project over the show ending of season one after its finale was aired on the 13th of July. Ms. Marvel also just take a turn along with a huge success having the move with the series that outranks even Black Panther, that known as the highest rated media that belongs to MCU along with the critics that are just rating with 98% on Tomatometer.
This is now the highest rated ever in the history of the Marvel property. On the other side, the critics’ rating also reach a top record for the franchise, and the audience also rated a built lower at 80%. Like other Marvel series, Wanda Vision had got a rating from critics of 91%, and Loki and Hawkeye both had rated 92%. What If…? And Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D better along with 94% and 95% respectively.
After getting a strong response, the series just got reviewed-bomb ed by the trolls. There is a conservative Christian group available on Facebook named, “Christian Against Ms. Marvel” with over 16,000 members who have opposed the character and the series. Iman Villani also told to NME in an interview that a superhero who belongs to Pakistan is scary for those trolls and she does not care more about them.
The story tells, “It’s honestly quite laughable, and I think change is scary for a lot of people. And having a show that surrounds a 16-year-olf girl who’s Pakistani and Muslim and also a superhero is scary for a lot of people. I think this is just on top of the Band-Aid off and hopefully, people will fall in love with her. This series is for them too. We wanted Ms. Marvel to be a love letter to Marvel Fans. So. it’s true, I don’t care about them.
The Pakistani-American girl Kamala Khan become a very popular character when she appeared first in marvel Comics in 2023. This time it’s just written by Willow Wilson, Sana Amanat, and Adrian Alphona. The characters already had such a knack to rise over hate. In 2015, the images of the character had used by the anti-Muslim crew American Freedom Defense Initiative through anti-Islamic advertisements on the buses of San Francisco. In response, the street artists were also able to cover the ads along with images of Kamala Khan with anti-bigotry messages.
