Motorola India is gearing up for another launch — and this one’s turning heads. Just weeks after the Motorola Edge 70 Pro landed in India, the brand has officially teased its beefed-up sibling: the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. Promoted under the tagline “stunning inside out,” the device is clearly positioned to own the premium mid-range segment — and from what the teasers reveal, it might just do that.

Here’s everything we know ahead of its expected early June 2026 launch.

Design That Actually Stands Out

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: most phones in this segment look identical. Motorola’s going a different route with the Edge 70 Pro+, and the result is genuinely striking.

Developed in collaboration with Pantone, the smartphone is set to launch in three distinct textured finishes — a deep maroon Satin-Luxe Finish (Pantone Zinfandel), a woven-look Twill-Inspired Finish (Pantone Blue Surf), and a natural-feeling Sculpted Wood Finish (Pantone Wood Gold).

These aren’t just colour options — they’re tactile experiences. The Sculpted Wood finish in particular is rare in this price range, and the Twill-Inspired texture is a nod to Motorola’s fabric-back era done right. The device carries over the quad-curved form factor from recent Edge-series models, with a square-shaped rear camera housing that colour-matches the back panel.

Camera System: A Real Upgrade Over the Edge 70 Pro

The cameras are where the “Pro+” label truly earns its keep.

The primary imaging setup uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 710 sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), supported by Motorola’s built-in moto AI algorithms for low-light capture, improved dynamic range, and motion blur prevention.

But the real talking point is the telephoto setup. The Edge 70 Pro+ introduces 3.5x Optical Zoom and up to 50X Super Zoom Pro, along with a dedicated 85mm focal length optimized specifically for portrait photography — a feature absent on standard regional models.

An 85mm portrait lens at this price point is unusual — and for anyone who shoots people, street photography, or events, this could be a genuine differentiator over rivals like the Nothing Phone 3a Pro or iQOO Neo 10R.

Display & Charging

The Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to feature a 6.7 to 6.8-inch 1.5K Quad-Curved 144Hz AMOLED panel alongside Turbo Power wired and wireless charging.

A 1.5K resolution on an AMOLED at 144Hz is a strong display package — sharper than the FHD+ panels on most rivals and smooth enough for gaming and media. The exact chip inside hasn’t been confirmed yet, but given the positioning, expect a flagship-adjacent SoC when the full spec sheet drops.

What to Expect on Launch Day

Motorola India has confirmed the Edge 70 Pro+ will be available via Flipkart, with a launch window of early June 2026. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but given the Edge 70 Pro launched at ₹35,999, expect the Pro+ to sit in the ₹40,000–₹45,000 range — placing it squarely against the Samsung Galaxy A56, OnePlus 13R, and the upper tier of the Nothing Phone (3a) series.

The SoC reveal will make or break the pricing conversation. If Motorola goes with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or better, this could be a very compelling package. A mid-tier chip at a ₹40K+ price would be harder to justify.

Should You Wait for It?

If you’re in the market for a premium mid-range phone right now and design, cameras, and display quality are your priorities — yes, wait. The Pantone finishes, Sony LYTIA sensor, and 85mm portrait lens make this one of the more distinctive offerings we’ve seen in the ₹35K–₹45K range in a while.

That said, hold your final judgment until the processor is confirmed. Motorola has a history of pairing excellent hardware packages with chipsets that leave enthusiasts wanting more.

We’ll have full coverage the moment it launches. Stay tuned.
