A three-week series of golf tournaments in Morocco is establishing a direct progression route for players from the Asian Development Tour (ADT) to the Asian Tour and ultimately The International Series. This initiative marks the first time Morocco has offered such a multi-tiered pathway within its borders, providing aspiring professionals an opportunity to ascend through successive levels of competition.

The pathway is the result of a joint initiative by the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, Moroccan National Tourism Office, Indian Golf Premiere League (IGPL), the Asian Tour, and The International Series (https://www.asiantour.com/theinternationalseries). The collaboration aims to develop the next generation of golfing talent and create structured opportunities for professional advancement.

Multi-Tiered Progression

The journey began with the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026 at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in El Jadida. From this initial stage, Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool and Bangladesh’s Siddikur Rahman secured berths in the subsequent am green IGPL Bharath Classic, which is currently underway.

Leading performers from the Bharath Classic, who are not otherwise exempt, will advance to next week’s International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco. This final stage provides an opportunity for development-tour players to compete alongside established professionals on one of golf’s premier international circuits.

Elite Competition and Local Talent

The International Series Morocco in Rabat is set to feature a field including Major champions Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia, LIV Golf professionals Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace, and defending champion Scott Vincent. This provides an environment for qualifiers to test their skills against prominent international players.

The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation’s commitment to nurturing local talent is evident with 12 Moroccan players, including eight amateurs, participating in this week’s AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic. Ayoub Lguirati leads the contingent of home favourites, highlighting the initiative’s broader impact on regional golf development.

IGPL, a strategic partner of both the Asian Tour and The International Series, has supported the initiative through its title sponsorship of the first two events. This sponsorship aims to broaden international experience for emerging Indian players and accelerate their development within more competitive fields.

Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, emphasized the program’s broader objective. “We aim to establish an ecosystem that supports player progression, offers exposure to high-level competition, and assists golfers in realizing their potential. This Moroccan series exemplifies the results of shared ambition among partners.”

The multi-event structure provides a clear ladder for talent development, contributing to the broader landscape of professional golf. For more insights into recent professional golf news and other industry developments, visit [TechnoSports](https://technosports.co.in/).
