Recap: Where We Left Off

Episode 2 delivered shocking revelations that completely reframe the entire narrative:

Dal-I’s True Identity: The supposedly deceased Crown Princess survived her ordered suicide by drowning in a lake. Her loyal court lady rescued her, but Elder Wolha erased her memories to protect her identity. That court lady became Dal-I’s aunt, hiding this truth for years while raising the Crown Princess as a merchant named Park Dal-i.

Lee Kang’s Secret Training: Behind his shallow, pleasure-seeking façade, Lee Kang secretly trains in swordsmanship and archery every night, imagining each arrow striking the Prime Minister who orchestrated his wife’s false accusations and forced suicide.

The Rescue Scene: Episode 2 concluded with Lee Kang dramatically rescuing Dal-i from wrongful arrest just before punishment. Their undeniable chemistry sparked immediately, though neither understands why they feel this inexplicable connection.
