The Past Timeline (1957)
After narrowly escaping a violent confrontation with tribal villagers in Santa Soledad — who were protecting their secret connection to Titan X — Lee Shaw and Keiko Miura take shelter overnight in an abandoned cabin. The tension and adrenaline between them boils over, and the two share a passionate night together. When Bill Randa arrives the next morning to rescue them, Keiko is flooded with guilt. She later writes Lee a heartfelt letter: she loves him deeply, but Bill has her heart, and what happened between them must never be repeated. Lee, devastated, drowns his grief in alcohol.
The Present Day
Back in the present, Apex Cybernetics — fronted by the shady Jason Trissop — officially hijacks Monarch’s Outpost 18 ship with Director Barris’ suspicious blessing. Tim goes rogue, helping Lee, Keiko, Hiroshi, and Kentaro escape so they can reach Hiroshi’s Tokyo workshop and use his prototype Titan-luring device — one that mimics the sound of the Scarab creatures that Titan X responds to.
