Mohamed Simakan has agreed to join Al Nassr and will be completing his medical tests in the coming days to finalise the transfer. The reported transfer fee for the defender is around €45 million.
The RB Leipzig centre-back has agreed to a five-year contract with the Saudi Arabian side, and becomes the latest to make the move to the Middle East. The German side has signed Lutsharel Geertruida as his replacement.

The 24-year-old had interest from several Premier League clubs over the last few days of the transfer window. Arsenal were among the clubs trying to sign the player. However, the proposal from Al Nassr was above and beyond any of the other offers.
Simakan has been with RB Leipzig since 2021, joining them from Strasbourg. He has made 122 appearances for the German club, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists across all competitions while winning the DFB Pokal twice and the DFL Super Cup once.
It now remains to be seen whether Mohamed Simakan can see out the majority of his five-year contract in Saudi Arabia or if he decides to return to Europe midway through his spell.
