Mohamed Salah sets new European record in 5-1 win over Toulouse

Mohamed Salah has set another new record in British football, becoming the player with the most goals in European competitions for any English club with 43 to his name. The Egyptian found the back of the net for Liverpool in their recent Europa League win against Toulouse, helping them to the top of their group.

Many have criticised the Egyptian for being a one season wonder, but he has continued to silence them time and time again. And now, he has yet another record to show for himself.

After finishing outside the top four, Liverpool are playing the Europa League this season and are one of the favourites to go on and win. This season, Salah has scored nine goals and provided four assists across all competitions, setting up another great start to a campaign.

Mohamed Salah has scored 38 goals in the Champions League throughout his career, including for Roma and Basel alongside Liverpool. With five to his name in the Europa League thus far, he could extend his record by the time the season is over.

Liverpool have maintained a perfect record in the Europa League thus far, winning all three opening games. They could maintain this record to make it to the Round of 16, whilst also being strong contenders for a number of trophies.
