When a web-series universe jumps to the big screen, the big question is whether the magic holds. For Ali Fazal’s Mirzapur: The Movie, the answer is a loud yes, even as the run enters its final stretch.

Mirzapur: The Movie: Box Office at a Glance

Period	Nett (India)
Week 1	Rs 145.00 cr
Week 2	Rs 53.75 cr
3rd weekend	Rs 11.75 cr (Fri-Sun)
4th weekend	About Rs 4 cr
Total (24 days)	Rs 220.25 cr

The 4th Weekend: A Slowdown, Not a Crash

The film earned an estimated Rs 1.50 crore on its fourth Sunday, a nominal dip from Saturday. It wrapped the weekend at around Rs 4 crore, a 65% drop from the previous weekend. That’s typical for a film this deep into its run, especially one that opened this big.

What Lies Ahead?

New competition arrives next weekend in Drishyam: The Conclusion, which will take away screens and attention. Based on current trends, Mirzapur is expected to close its run in the Rs 225 to 230 crore nett range in India.

Why This Win Matters?

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film stars Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ravi Kishan and Jitendra. It is now the third biggest hit of the year so far, behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Hanuman Ansh. Trade watchers see it as proof that successful digital IPs can make the leap to theatres, so expect more OTT shows to head to the big screen. If you’re new to the world, the original Mirzapur TV series is the place to start.
