Microsoft and AirJaldi Networks Deepen Partnership to Bridge the Digital Divide in 12 States

Microsoft and AirJaldi, a leading rural internet connectivity solutions provider, have entered into a three-year partnership with the goal of advancing access to high-speed internet and meaningful connectivity in underserved rural areas of India. The program, called ‘Contentful Connectivity,’ aims to collaborate with various sectors to build solutions for broadband adoption and digital transformation.

Key objectives of the program over the next three years include expanding AirJaldi Networks into three new states, strengthening existing networks, enhancing skilling and education programs, building IoT-based connectivity solutions, and establishing partnerships with government and corporate organizations. The partnership aims to provide internet access to nearly 500,000 underserved beneficiaries and improve their digital productivity, employability, and AI fluency skills.

Antony Cook, Corporate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Microsoft, emphasized the importance of internet access and digital skills for economic prosperity, while Michael Ginguld, Director Strategy and Operations at AirJaldi Networks, expressed excitement about the partnership and its potential impact on connectivity in India.
