Key Features and Details of Meizu 21 Series

Meizu has already provided a glimpse of some key specifications for the Meizu 21. Notably, the new smartphone will showcase a 6.55-inch Samsung OLED screen with symmetrical 1.74 mm bezels on all four sides. Additionally, Meizu has revealed a version of the Meizu with a white front panel, a distinctive feature in a market with few devices sporting white fronts. Internally, the Meizu 21 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, running on FlymeOS based on Android 14.

Geely, the automotive company behind the Meizu brand, will likely use the occasion to introduce FlymeAuto alongside the Meizu 21 series. These phones are expected to complement Geely’s lineup of vehicles, including Polestar, Lotus, and Lynk & Co brands. Meizu has also confirmed an extended 36-month warranty for all Meizu 21 smartphones.

The Meizu 21 series will start with a battery capacity of 4,800 mAh, and both phones are anticipated to support 80W fast charging. The Pro variant may come with a slightly larger 5,020 mAh battery, though it’s unclear if wireless charging will be included. Both Meizu 21 and 21 Pro will feature an OIS-enabled 50 MP primary camera. The standard variant will incorporate an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera, while the Pro edition will include an ultra-wide shooter and a periscope telephoto camera. Both phones will sport an RGB ring LED flash on the back, and they will run on Flyme 10-based Android 14.

The Meizu 21 series is set to replace the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro flagships, which debuted earlier this year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The swift launch of new smartphones within a year of their predecessors underscores Geely’s ambition to restore Meizu’s prominence as a flagship smartphone brand. Meizu is not only unveiling new flagships in a short timeframe but is also aligning with the trend of new flagships featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Meizu will now compete with mainstream brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, and OnePlus, offering a unique design and notable features such as FlymeOS.
