Meet Kim So Hyun’s Onscreen Family: New “Between Steps” Stills Reveal the Bickering

Before falling in love, Kim So Hyun’s character has to survive her own family first. Upcoming ENA drama “Between Steps” just unveiled its newest stills, giving fans their first real look at the tight-knit, hardworking household surrounding lead character Im Yoo Jin.

The series marks a final work from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, celebrated for hit dramas like Something in the Rain and One Spring Night. It follows the love story between Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), a graduate student rediscovering her direction in life.

A Brother Who Bickers but Always Shows Up

Kim Min Seok plays Yoo Jin’s older brother, Im Yoo Sung, a mechanic at the family shop known for carefree immaturity and frequent squabbles with his sister — yet fiercely protective when it counts.

Real Chemistry, Built Off-Screen

Kim So Hyun revealed the cast bonded through shared research and conversations starting from the first script reading, which helped their on-screen family dynamic feel authentic.
