MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC is now official

The Dimensity 9200, the newest flagship CPU from MediaTek, has been launched as expected today. Numerous first-in-industry features are included in the powerful chipset. The SoC, which is expected to provide exceptional performance and clever power efficiency, will power premium devices. To learn more about the Dimensity 9200 SoC, continue reading.

MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Specifications

Based on the second-generation 4nm technology from TSMC, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 provides superior heat dissipation. According to the business, the power consumption of the CPU at its peak performance has decreased by 25% from its forerunner. Additionally, the Dimensity 9200 is the first to incorporate an ARM Cortex-X3 prime core with a 3.05GHz clock speed based on ARMv9 architecture.

Three ARM Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores both operate at 2.85GHz and 1.8GHz, respectively. The SoC also features the brand-new ARM Immortalis-G715 GPU, which has variable rate rendering and a hardware-based ray tracing engine. On the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, the chipset outperforms all Android flagships with 1.26 million points.

The Dimensity 9200 supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage in addition to the aforementioned technical features. Additionally, it supports WHQD at 144Hz, FHD at 240Hz, and two screens with a maximum resolution of 5K at 60Hz. It is claimed that material is brought to life by the Miravision 980 display technology. The processor’s sixth-generation AI NPU (APU 900) provides 35 percent gains over its forerunner.

In all visual applications, the SoC is said to provide power savings of 30 percent with AI-NR and 45 percent with AI-SR. The Dimensity 9200 comes equipped with the Imagiq 890 ISP, which delivers native support for RGBW sensors capable of shooting RAW rapidly, providing 30% more light, sharper, and brighter low-light HDR films and photographs.

The first WiFi-7 capable smartphone processor is the Dimensity 9200. A 5G modem that supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz communications is also integrated.

By the end of 2022, or in less than two months, the first phones using MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processors should be available. Vivo announced at the event that a flagship phone with the most recent MediaTek CPU would be released. We anticipate the smartphone to be in the X90 series even though the exact name is unknown. The Dimensity 9200 SoC will be included in the next Find X, according to OPPO. Other executives from Xiaomi, Honor and ASUS ROG have stated that they anticipate releasing smartphones equipped with the newest flagship chip from MediaTek.
