Speaking in a recent interview with Panafricalfootball, the agent of Ismaila Sarr revealed how close his agent was to join the Red Devils. He said, “During the summer, the Manchester club wanted to sign the Senegalese forward.”

“At the last moment, they offered a loan without an option, which Watford didn’t accept because the loan was expected to be accompanied by an option with right of first refusal for the Manchester club.”

In January, Manchester United finally signed 18 years old Facundo Pellisti in the summer as the winger before they signed Amad Diallo. Sarr could have been an excellent addition to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
