Apple’s new Mac mini is now available to pre-order in India, and the pricing tells its own story — this compact desktop is no longer the budget-friendly Mac it once was. Here’s every variant, configuration, and price you need to know before ordering.

Starting Prices in India
| Chip | Starting Price | Education Price |
|---|---|---|
| M6 | ₹99,900* | ₹88,900 |
| M5 Pro | ₹2,09,900 | ₹1,97,900 |

Every Configuration Available in India
Apple’s India store lists six pre-configured Mac mini options at launch:
| Configuration | Memory | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| M6, 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU | 16GB | 256GB |
| M6, 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU | 16GB | 512GB |
| M6, 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU | 24GB | 512GB |
| M6, 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU | 32GB | 1TB |
| M5 Pro, 15-core CPU, 16-core GPU | 24GB | 512GB |
| M5 Pro, 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU | 64GB | 1TB |
Beyond these fixed configurations, buyers can further customize memory (up to 32GB on M6, up to 64GB on M5 Pro), storage (up to 8TB on both chips), and Ethernet speed at checkout — so the six listed variants are really just starting points rather than the full range of what’s buildable.

What You Get for the Price Jump
Stepping up from M6 to M5 Pro isn’t just a bigger number — it’s a meaningfully different chip aimed at different workloads. The M5 Pro variant supports up to 307GB/s memory bandwidth versus 170GB/s on the M6, and includes third-generation ray tracing along with Thunderbolt 5 ports, letting M5 Pro (and Mac Studio) units be clustered together — a capability the Thunderbolt 4-equipped M6 model doesn’t support.
Choosing the higher-end 18-core CPU / 20-core GPU M5 Pro configuration over the base 15-core/16-core option adds roughly ₹24,000 on top of the base M5 Pro price on Apple’s India store.
What Apple Claims for the M6
Apple says the M6’s Neural Accelerator-equipped GPU cores deliver up to 4x faster AI performance and 2x faster graphics performance compared to the outgoing M4 chip, alongside 40% faster CPU performance and 2x faster storage. The chip’s dual 16-core Neural Engine is also claimed to be roughly twice as fast as the single Neural Engine used previously. For the complete official spec sheet and benchmark claims, see Apple’s Mac mini page.
When You’ll Get It
Pre-orders are open now via Apple’s India online store and the Apple Store app, with deliveries beginning September 22, 2026. Given how quickly previous Mac mini generations have sold out, ordering early is worth considering if you want a specific configuration at launch.
