Lupin Part 4 OTT Release Date: First Look Out, Omar Sy Returns Next Month

The gentleman thief is back. Netflix has dropped the first look at Lupin Part 4, confirming that production has been underway since May. Netflix has officially announced that Lupin Part 4 will premiere globally on October 23, bringing audiences back into the thrilling world of the gentleman thief. The premiere date announcement was accompanied by the release of the first batch of Part 4 photos.

What Is Lupin About?

Inspired by Maurice Leblanc’s century-old Arsène Lupin character, the series built its reputation on elaborate cons, family drama, and Assane Diop’s uncanny ability to slip out of impossible situations.

Omar Sy reprises his iconic role as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief who has captured the hearts of viewers in France and around the world.

Where Did We Leave Assane Diop?

Having faked his death, Assane spent most of Part 3 living incognito, while pulling off a series of high-stakes thefts in a bid to secure a safe and quiet life for his wife, son, mother and best friend, before concluding that the only way was to sacrifice himself, and turning himself into the police.

Part 3 ended with Assane making the difficult choice to surrender to police in order to protect his wife, son, mother and closest friend, leaving him behind bars for the first time in the show’s history. Netflix has now released the first look at Part 4, and the imagery makes clear that Assane’s imprisonment is about to take a far stranger turn than fans might expect.

Full Cast: Returning & New

Omar Sy returns to star as Assane Diop, Ludivine Sagnier reprises her role as Claire, Antoine Gouy is back as Benjamin Ferel, Soufiane Guerrab is Youssef Guédira, and Shirine Boutella is Sofia Belkacem. New to Season 4 are Théo Christine and Laïka Blanc-Francard.

New cast members’ character details have not yet been revealed.

The series is produced by Gaumont with the participation of Carrousel Studios, and is created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan, with the participation of Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, and Tigran Rosine.

The fourth instalment was written by Mathilde Arnaud, Jean-Yves Arnaud, Tigran Rosine, and Florent Meyer, and directed by Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout, and Hugo Gélin.
